It’s time for change—Louis Vuitton welcomes Bradley Cooper as the face of the maison on the heels of the Tambour’s 20th anniversary.
On the stage, Bradley Cooper’s impressive cinematic appearances have earned him numerous Academy Awards, BAFTAs, SAG Awards and Grammys. Making good timing for the 20th anniversary of the Louis Vuitton (us.louisvuitton.com) Tambour watch, Cooper’s latest honor of being named the new house ambassador is yet another outstanding achievement in the icon’s career.
Let’s travel back in time. In 2002, the Tambour was revealed at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Switzerland. Defying traditional watchmaking techniques with distinctive lines and a fresh shape—a round case sculpted from a single piece of metal secured by applied horns—the release was simply groundbreaking. Laying the foundation for generations to come, the future of the watch was nothing but bright.
This year, we celebrate two decades of expert craftsmanship with the legendary Tambour Twenty. This cutting-edge timepiece has a plethora of brilliant features that improve the technology while building off the original codes. Its exterior is certainly stunning, with a deep, flared 41.5 mm case, a brown sunray dial, yellow chronograph hands and the engraved letters “Louis Vuitton” flanking the case.
This limited edition, available in 200 pieces, revisits the codes and design of the very first Tambour.
New is undoubtedly always better—the LV277 high-frequency automatic chronograph movement, a 22K oscillating weight, an exceptionally engraved limited-edition case back and a custom-made trunk in Monogram canvas are living proof of this. Time is of the essence—with Bradley Cooper’s artistry and Louis Vuitton’s supreme skill, its legacy is soaring higher than ever.
