When two design icons come together, quality and innovative craftsmanship are inevitable.
Such is evident with the Carrera Chronograph x Porsche 963, the newest TAG Heuer timepiece. The Swiss luxury watch brand partnered with the luxury racing car company on a design that blends innovation with legacy, incorporating motorsport heritage into their newest release—and the watch is limited to just 963 pieces.

"In celebration of Porsche’s racing successes, we are extremely proud to have worked on such a timepiece with our partner," TAG Heuer CEO Julien Tornare is quoted in a press release. “The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche 963 is an exceptional horological piece that represents all the values we stand for: design excellence, endurance, and the surpassing of one’s limits. We particularly look forward to Porche’s performance this year and wish all the best to the Porsche team on the racetracks.”

Actor and racer Patrick Dempsey, a Porsche and TAG Heuer House Ambassador, was tapped for the advertising campaign. He posted a series of photographs alongside the official TAG Heuer Instagram to advertise the launch.
Drawing inspiration from the Porsche 963, the timepiece pays homage to several elements of the classic race car to embody the brand’s signature “drive for excellence.” The LED light design on the modern Porsche 911 is brought into the watch's sub-dials with four Super-LumiNova (SLN) blocks so the pieces can be seen in the dark.
With both functionality and visual appeal, the watch dons Porsche’s signature white, red and black color scheme. Other features include a skeleton dial, rubber strap shape, red indexes and a forged carbon bezel, all modeled after the technical craftsmanship of the iconic motor vehicle.
This collaboration is a testament to the technical mastery of both Porsche and TAG Heuer, perfect for fans of motorsports or anyone interested in an innovative new timepiece.
