1921 meets 2021 with a glittering party for Vacheron Constantin’s new Manhattan store and the 100th birthday of the American 1921.

Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin kicked off New York’s Fashion Week with a star-studded party that began in its stunning new flagship on 57th Street and ended with a dinner served at the glamorous Steinway Tower penthouse overlooking Central Park. Model and musician Karen Elson performed during the cocktail hour, and Tony Award winner Alan Cumming brought the house down, performing favorite tunes and hit numbers from Cabaret after dinner. Hosted by Alexander Schmiedt, president of the Americas for Vacheron Constantin, guests included Katie Holmes, Nico Tortorella, Chanel Iman and fashion designer Christian Siriano. The celebratory evening felt like a rare treat, with Vacheron Constantin’s iconic watch, the American 1921, relaunched for 2021 in white gold, being the real star.
